The Design Plan: Kitchen Inspiration

Time seems to be moving in slow motion... However, our design selection appointment should be coming up this summer. Even though I'm looking at Pinterest and Houzz almost every single day, I'm having trouble deciding on an overall vision for the home!

After falling in love with a few ideas, a small wrench was thrown into my plans when I realized the charcoal coloured hardwood that I'm currently loving isn't one of our included hardwood flooring options. Ugh! We do have the choice of 5 included hardwoods which aren't bad at all, but I was hoping to go with a very dark greyish brown. To upgrade to the flooring, we're looking at $6-7K!! SO, in my husband's our opinion, the cost to change the colour is not worth it... especially with there being so many other upgrades I want!

Our builder does offer a dark brown shade, but it has some red in it, which I'm not a fan of. I am leaning towards the lighter, more walnut colour because it has the least amount of red/orange tones.

I did find a few kitchens with the lighter brown floors that I think look great, but I'm still searching to get ideas for the final finishes. See below!
